Bartender

About the Role

As a Bartender at The Plot Twist, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks in a dynamic environment. You’ll interact with customers to create a friendly, enjoyable experience while ensuring the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked. You should have a passion for romance books, mixology, customer service, and maintaining a positive attitude, even during busy times.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine.
• Greet customers, take drink orders, and provide recommendations in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure all drinks are served in accordance with company standards and guest preferences.
• Process customer payments accurately using the POS system.
• Monitor guest behavior to ensure they are not over-served and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, restocking supplies, and ensuring the bar is well-stocked at all times.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including checking IDs, and adhering to local alcohol service laws.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up the bar, cleaning, and preparing for the next shift.
• Work collaboratively with other bartenders and staff to ensure a seamless experience for customers.

Qualifications:
• Previous bartending experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old (compliant with local alcohol service laws).
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
